So sometime later tonight I'm being carted off to my sister's crappy apartment to babysit my niece tomorrow and I won't be back until sometime tomorrow evening. When my Mom will be in town. So I may happy or grumpy but for the most part afk I guess while I pal around with Mom. I'll love to do any and all RL's for Christmas or whatever when I get back, if I don't call hiatus since I've been pretty fail and only a bit active lately.

Also AOL is being a great big douche and not giving me all my notifs so if I've dropped a thread on you anywhere please feel free to give me links.

This affects:

Stay sexy, DDD. ♥

Naoto-nii.

If you ever hurt Cousin Saguru like you did in that virus?

I'm going to shoot you. I may or may not aim for a vital spot.

My ego today is HUUUUGE. Yay.

Went to Holland College and showed off my portfolio. Not only did one of the instructors - one of the people RUNNING the program - remember me out of the hundreds of students they've seen when presenting their program, she also said that if I had applied last year (even without all my improvement since last seeing her) I probably would have gotten a spot.

Their one piece of advise - draw more landscape and buildings.

I needed that little pick me up. I'm still nervous because it's like, 60-100 kids applying for 17 spots, but... I just need to keep my chin up and try really hard.

Oh, oh. And here's my personal two favorite things about this course.

1. If you opt in, you can test video games as a job. It pays pretty decently! Decently enough to cover rent and living expenses, and a little extra.
2. Free. Video. Games. There is an ENORMOUS game library at the student's disposal. I took a peek at it and they had some of the most obscure titles I've ever seen, along with all of the latest stuff. They had freaking Tales of Destiny in there! Needless to say, I'm impressed.
3. There was a sign on the computer lab that said:
"Please do not feed or make eye contact with the students. They may not be as civilized as they look.
Also, don't poke the glass. It hurts their fragile little ears!"

hahaha so guys... remember a few weeks ago I posted about a snow storm that may or may not knock out the power? Well... funny story... we're expecting another. Tomorrow. And on Christmas eve. :D

So yay for a White Christmas? But boo if it knocks out the power. :|

[Here we have Naoto relaxing and enjoying the scenery among the forested walkways of the resort. She's sitting on the edge of railing, looking up at the foliage. There's a gentle breeze. The leaves sway a bit.]

[Suddenly, an apple falls into her lap. She picks it up and rubs it on her shirt front before taking a bite. She looks up again.]

Thank you very much! [smiling] It's delicious! You've got to try one!

[A voice from somewhere in the foliage--which speaks with a distinct Osakan dialect:] Haha! Told ya so! These apples are just ripe for the pickin'!

[Another apple falls into Naoto's lap, and a tiny figure with the wings of a moth floats down and settles on Naoto's knee. The boy--if that's what it truly is--appears to be no bigger than a doll. He picks up the apple in both hands and starts to chow down!]

[Have an image of your very own community Kisuke Claus on your screen, of course it's Urahara Shoten's very own manager decked out in his holiday duds, but shhhhh the kiddies need not know~]

[He's singing to himself as he stuffs his bag with goodies]

I made myself a snowball as perfect as could be--I thought I'd keep it as a pet and let it sleep with me.

I made it some pajamas and a pillow for its head--but one night it ran away but first it wet the bed!

[Looks up at the screen and waves] Well hello my dear community, you've caught me at a busy moment haven't you?

[The recording starts with a few hesitant piano keys being struck, only a few notes sounding and then nothing. A few more, and then more silence.

Then, music starts to flow more readily, and there seems to be someone humming lowly underneath the piano's notes. And then someone starts to sing, quietly and to themselves.
]

They say that there's a broken light for every heart on Broadway
They say that life's a game, then they take the board away

[The voice almost seems cautious with the words -- as though he hasn't sung it many times before. Maybe the song has only barely been written.]

They give you masks and costumes and an outline of the story
Then leave you all to improvise their vicious cabaret...

[V IS BACK :D. He's been brought back to about a week before the start of canon. Because of that, however, he doesn't remember DDD at all, doesn't remember anyone he's met, and has no memories outside of his own precanon. He won't even realize this has been posted online until someone replies.

I missed my Vvvvvvvv]

[There isn't really anything, save for a brunet man in a towel walking around his very bare apartment. He looks nothing like Cross - really, mainly because of the fact that he has a whole face and blue eyes. Then, he walks over to a wall placing his hand against a wall:]

cut for video )

[Then, presto, instant Cross! He looks extremely tired before he slumps down and closes his eyes.]

Time to go. One more week, then we're leaving this world, Maria.

Are you kidding me? This place is still around? How come it hasn't exploded yet?

Yeah that's right, everyone's favorite Rat-in-Shining armor is back! Heh, someone's gotta make this place look good, right? And I'm the rat for the job!

...Now don't everyone get up at once! No need to push or shove. There's plenty of 'da rat to go around.

Jim had already received a majority of his Christmas gifts. Among them, from the Emoticon specifically, was a model kit of the NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise. He'd make quick work of the box, heading into the greenhouse immediately to find Sulu -- (Bones would spoil his fun and talk about how ridiculous it was to be playing with toys as a grown captain of a goddamn starship, and Spock would fail to see the logic) -- to play with it. Pieces of the box were trailed like breadcrumbs along the way to the greenhouse and finally he hit the command console to open it, shoving styrofoam pieces of the Enterprise into Sulu's face.

"Have you seen this?" He demanded, suddenly trying to fumble to get the engine and propellers onto the flat, circular piece. "I'm gonna fly it up the halls in the barracks."

Are there any classic holiday movies or TV shows that you look forward to watching year after year? What are your all-time favorites? Are there any you simply can't stand?

Honestly, even though a lot of people thought that setting it in the early 1990's was a bad move, the 2240 version of A Christmas Carol is kind of my favorite version of that story ever. I might be biased because it was my first theater experience, but I liked that it wasn't modern and wasn't set in the 1800's like every other version is. Except for... I think one was set in the 1980's but that was just really weird, and it wasn't very cohesive.

...Though, the title of the writer's block reminds me that I really like that really old cartoon too.

Best Virus Ever! It was fun being able to interact with so many people.

Playing soccer with everyone was awesome~ And so was the frosting bomb thing, until it went horribly horribly wrong...

Who else had fun and enjoyed it at least.

[Locked to soccer team]

...Anyone want to play another game soon?

((...Take two while I try and track down where I sent that other post that wasn't DDD))
