[RL--Autobot Christmas party!]
[Welcome to Middle-of-Nowhere, America, the newest incarnation of Area 51 and the American military's current pet project. On the surface it doesn't look like much--some kind of construction project nestled at the base of a mesa. A closer look, though, reveals the signs warning of high voltage electricity on the unassuming chain-link fence, the armed guards stationed at regular intervals, and, strangest of all, a collection of vehicles that don't act the way normal earth vehicles should.

Too bad no one's allowed to get near enough to see any of this.]

((Cast Christmas party for DDD's Transformers muns. This is a private mini-event--no crashers, pls. Everyone's here--Prime, Ironhide, Lennox and crew--but for the sake of simplicity, let's avoid NPCing them beyond a few lines here or there. Have fun, guys! A-and please don't feel compelled to wait for me; I'm actually gonna be pretty busy the next few days, so Mikaela won't be around that much. 8|;;;;))

ABOVEGROUND

[This is the part of the base everyone can see--the main warehouse, the temporary barracks, the storage sheds and earth-moving equipment. Most of the human-size party is going to take place up here. The army guys have set up buffet tables of food and drinks (for people), as well decorations, including a lopsided and rather wind-blown tree in the lee side of one of the barracks buildings.

Robots, please be so kind as to remain in your transforms up here, and watch out for squishy-type people~.

And don't trip over the half-destroyed Gundam!]

On arrival, Prowl slowly wheeled himself around the area, choosing to scout the place out before joining the other Transformers, silently admiring the decorations and the tree. At least those stone angels were no longer present.

Is that a bright yellow camaro lurking in the shadows and following the cyberninja? Maybe. The scout is interested in these Cybertronians from other timelines, after all. Time to introduce himself! He rolls on over, matching Prowl's speed.

"Hello there."

Prowl slammed on the brakes, nearly skidding into a wall as he did so and glanced at the car besides him, the shape was different but there was no mistaking that shade of yellow, and it had just talked "You're this reality's Bumblebee"

It was a while before Arcee bothered to venture above ground. She wasn't supposed to transform up there, so she'd sort of avoided it until she realized that there were others up there that she hadn't yet met. So, grudgingly, she folded herself back into her motorbike form and went up, up, up! Scannign the area, she caught sight of another motorbike. Oooh, cool! She drove right up to him, nudging against the other bike with an inward grin. "Hiya!"

As a new energy signature showed up on his short-range scanners, Prowl started to turn in that direction to see who it was, then found himself backing up ever so slightly when the femme came over to greet him with a nudge and he dipped his front end in a return greeting, a movement accompanied with a "Hello"

One of the things that makes Grimlock more like an animal then a 'bot, was that he hated being confined to an area. He much rather be outside then be in a base or a warehouse. So ignoring protests he transformed and stuck his head outside. Technically, he wasn't breaking any rules, he was in his alt mode, and he didn't go out completely.

Even Army personnel well used to seeing cars driving around by themselves can by caught by surprise by a giant mental dinosaur, and the flurry of conversation as Grimlock poked his head out of the warehouse caught Mikaela's attention.

"Hey, Grimlock!" she yelled up at him. "You didn't pick that mode for stealth, didja?" Her tone was teasing--she didn't seem too worried about it, though some of the Army guys were debating how to ask a dinosaur to please go back inside.

Hearing his name being shouted, Grimlock turned to his attention to Mikaela. He hunched down some so that his lower jaw was nearly touched the ground, and thus making it so that she was nearly optic level to him.

"Fit in fine few million years ago." He replied. "Me Grimlock like this mode anyway. Have nice bite to it."

Mikaela was sitting on top of one of the tables the Army boys had set out, a plastic cup of soda sitting on the table to one side. She had a plastic badge clipped to her jacket--she and Sam were contracted as advisers or cultural intermediaries or something, some bullshit position the top (human) brass here had made up so they could come on the base without having to get checked in as visitors every time. Every few weeks, it seemed, their "position" got a new title, and every few weeks she got a new badge, and she still got a kick out of it.

Imagine her, not even out of high school and she had military clearance.

She grinned and waved at a couple of the guys from Captain Lennox's squad, but didn't move to sit with any of them. She didn't seem to mind sitting alone; it was almost looked like she was wating for somebody.

She was realy going to have to adjust some things, and have Ratchet take a look at some of those old war wounds. Sheesh, if she complained any more, she'd start sounding like Ironhide.

Having obtained a worldhop to the other Transformer's world, Rattrap appeared out of nowhere flying across the room. The fuzzy mech flailed in the air until he crashed against the side of a wall, denting it. He fell to the floor with even more unrefined grace and cursed to himself while getting up on all four paws. "Worldhopping." he groaned as his joints cracked from stretching out his back. "Now where's that high-grade?"

Of course with Grimlock's choice of alt mode, he didn't exactly fit in outside, even transformed. So he was made to go into the warehouse as soon as he worldhopped to the base. Needless to say that made Grim grumble a bit, since he never liked being told what to do.

But for once he behaved and went inside. Just in time to see Rattrap fly through the air an crash. "Me Grimlock think Fuzzy Mech need to work on landing." He was still carrying the decent size energon cube from his own world that he thought he would bring to the party.

By now Rattrap was, as the humans called it, buzzed. Which was fine by him. All that time spent on a remote planet, with nothing but raw energon and Predacons on your back, meant little time for Rattrap to indulge in stable energon delicacies anymore. But not today! Rattrap carried a fresh cube with him as he walked by another transformer. He raised his cube in acknowledgment to the other mech. "Whoah! Aren't you a big ship."

Rolling into the building, Prowl finally transformed, looking around at all the other Transformers present and nodded, then moved towards the energon supplied. He did miss the stuff, the humans' oil was nice and all, but energon was a little taste of home.

Arcee wasn't far behind him, eager to get inside and have at that energon. She, like most other Cybertronians appreciated fine energon!

THE BASE PROPER

[The actual base is underground, the main entrance an elevator in the warehouse. Though the Army guys have clearance to be down here, they plan to stay up above, so this is place to come if you're starting to feel your high-grade, or even if you just want to have a private word with a fellow 'bot.

Just bear in mind that the place is half-finished, still, so no squakwing if you trip over something still under construction!]
